Prior to joining Kevane Grant Thornton, he worked at one of the Big 4 firms and together with other partners founded the firm LHD, where he was the managing partner until 2021, when LHD merged with Kevane Grant Thornton. Dolagaray succeeds, upon his retirement, CPA Carlos Marcano, who was the managing partner since 2014. The appointment coincides with the 50th anniversary of the founding of Kevane Grant Thornton.
“I accepted the challenge of leading this great accounting, auditing and consulting firm based in Puerto Rico and part of the Grant Thornton International global network with the commitment to serve the specialized industries we have chosen and to maintain the excellence in the service to our clients that we have provided since our founding in 1975. As we celebrate Kevane Grant Thornton’s 50th anniversary, my goal is to continue a growth trajectory since our structure allows us to maintain a personalized service while providing the resources and capabilities of a global firm,” said Dolagaray regarding his appointment.
Kevane Grant Thornton is the leading CPA firm offering audit and consulting services to numerous and varied companies on the Island, with more resources serving the Puerto Rico market by combining local knowledge with the global support of the Grant Thornton network. Among the services offered by the firm are Audit, Tax Advisory and Tax Compliance; Business Consulting, Accounting and Technology; and Outsourcing of Services.
With 33 years of experience in auditing and consulting services, 20 years as a partner and 11 as a managing partner of professional services firms, Dolagaray has vast knowledge in financial services, manufacturing, distribution, real estate development, tourism and technology industries. He has also excelled in consulting related to the implementation of complex accounting principles, including the development of related financial policies and models, and the development, implementation and monitoring of internal control and risk management structures, among others.
“Short term, we have the goal of completing the implementation of processes that allow us to maximize our resources, especially our staff and technology. In the medium and long term, we must continue using the structure we have created to raising the market levels we serve and expand the number of services we offer, keeping in mind communities in need of Puerto Rico. These goals are aligned with Grant Thornton International's global strategies, which include providing the highest quality services by combining specialized resources from the different geographic areas of the network. I am sure that with the great team of professionals with whom I work, we will achieve this,” said Dolagaray.
