Press Release

Grant Thornton Advisors launches multinational Quantitative Risk service

  • Dwayne Price appointed as Group Head of Quantitative Risk

CHICAGO and DUBLIN, IRELAND, October 29, 2026 – The Grant Thornton Advisors multinational platform has launched a Quantitative Risk service, including a Centre of Excellence (CoE) that will act as a dedicated hub to support growing client demand for specialised risk, modelling and analytics expertise across its multinational platform.

Grant Thornton Ireland partner Dwayne Price has been appointed Group Head of Quantitative Risk for the multinational platform.

The multinational service will support clients across the key financial services locations served by the platform. Resources and delivery teams in the EU, Americas and Middle East will be supported by the Centre of Excellence, based in Ireland. This will serve as a hub for quantitative risk services to help financial institutions navigate increasingly complex regulatory requirements, evolving supervisory expectations and more data-driven approaches to risk management. In addition to the CoE, dedicated resources are also located in Spain, Poland, UAE and the U.S.

Serving clients across Grant Thornton Advisors' multinational platform, the centre's capabilities include model risk management, stress testing, capital and liquidity modelling, credit risk analytics and regulatory transformation.

In his new role, Dwayne will lead the development and deployment of quantitative risk capabilities across the multinational platform, supporting collaboration, consistency and knowledge-sharing across the multinational delivery team.

Dwayne joined Grant Thornton Ireland in 2016 to lead its Financial Services Risk Advisory practice. He has advised major financial institutions on internal models, stress testing, IFRS 9 and regulatory strategy. Prior to joining the firm, he held a senior role at the Central Bank of Ireland, where he led the Banking Supervision Analysis Division and was closely involved in post-crisis supervisory reform.

Commenting on the launch, Steve Tennant, EMEA CEO of Grant Thornton Advisors, said:

"The launch of our Quantitative Risk Centre of Excellence reflects the strength of our multinational platform and our commitment to investing in areas where client demand is growing. As financial institutions navigate increasing regulatory complexity and rapid technological change, access to specialised quantitative expertise has become more important than ever.

Dwayne's appointment recognises his deep technical expertise, regulatory insight and leadership. The Quantitative Risk service provides world-class support through specialist talent from across our platform, delivering consistent, high-quality solutions to clients around the world."

Tom Puthiyamadam, national managing partner, Advisory Services, Grant Thornton Advisors, added:

"The launch of this service and delivery model meets client demand we're seeing every day in the market. Financial institutions are seeing increasing regulatory pressure and demand for quantitative experts – these external pressures create a scale of need for experts that cannot be handled internally. We built these solutions to tackle these problems directly. Dwayne, with his experience at the Central Bank of Ireland, knows these challenges better than anyone and is the ideal person to lead this practice."

Commenting on his appointment, Dwayne Price said:

"I am delighted to lead the Quantitative Risk team and work alongside specialists from across our multinational platform. By combining deep expertise in modelling, analytics and regulatory advisory, we can help financial institutions meet evolving regulatory expectations, strengthen resilience and make more informed risk decisions."
