    Grant Thornton Internacional anunció los ingresos globales de USD 5.760 millones para el año fiscal que finalizó el 30 de septiembre de 2020, un 0.6% más que en 2019. Esto representa un crecimiento del 1.6% y USD 5.810 millones en términos de moneda constante*.

    En particular:

    • La inversión a largo plazo en mercados estratégicos continúa ofreciendo un crecimiento de dos dígitos en países clave, como Brasil (+33.4%), Alemania (11.9%), India (+14.8%), Malasia (11.8%) y Singapur (19.9%).
    • Nuestras empresas más grandes en Europa tuvieron un fuerte crecimiento en Dinamarca (9.4%), Francia (5.6%), Alemania (11.9%), Grecia (14.6%), Irlanda (8.2%), Países Bajos (9.6%), Suecia (4.6%) y Suiza (5.4%).
    • Las empresas centroeuropeas destacaron con Austria (+13.1%), República Checa (67.3%), Polonia (+17.3%) y Eslovaquia (+29.8%) un crecimiento particularmente fuerte.
    • A pesar del modesto crecimiento en América del Norte, nuestras empresas en Canadá reportaron un crecimiento del 5.8% (Canadá LLP) y del 3.6% (RCGT), respectivamente.
    • En otros lugares, la red experimentó un fuerte crecimiento con respecto a Argentina (41.6%), Corea (20.7%) y Emiratos Árabes Unidos (10.1%).
    • Se registró un crecimiento estable en todas las líneas de servicio lideradas por auditoría (+3.2%), consultoría (+0.6%) y contribuciones (+0.5%).

    Peter Bodin, CEO Grant Thornton Internacional Ltd, dice: "Del profesional al personal, el COVID-19 ha afectado a todos los aspectos de nuestras vidas en el 2020. Desde que la Organización Mundial de la Salud declaró una pandemia mundial en marzo de este año, las firmas miembro de Grant Thornton se han centrado en apoyar a su gente, a sus clientes y a sus negocios.

    Gracias a la inversión de la red en tecnología en los últimos años, las firmas miembro pudieron cambiar al trabajo virtual, en algunos casos casi de la noche a la mañana, debido a los confinamientos impuestos por los gobiernos de todo el mundo. La capacidad de la red para pivotar no sólo le permitió mantener sus capacidades operativas, sino también ayudar a los clientes a responder a medida que lanzamos rápidamente herramientas y guías para ayudar a las empresas a hacer frente al shock social y económico de la pandemia. Las firmas de Grant Thornton de todo el mundo respondieron con empatía, innovación y cuidado para sus clientes. 

    Si bien las perspectivas siguen siendo inciertas, el sólido crecimiento de este año nos coloca en una excelente posición para seguir invirtiendo en nuestro modelo multidisciplinario y aprovechar las oportunidades posteriores a Covid ".

    Resumen:

    • Las Américas es la región más grande por ingresos, los cuales representan el 45.5% (+0.0%); seguido de EMEA, que representa el 36.6% (+2.7%) y Asia Pacífico aportando el 17.9% (-1.8%).
    • Los servicios de auditoría representaron aproximadamente el 40.4% de los ingresos totales (USD2.32bn, +3.2%); los servicios de consultoría el 36.0% de los ingresos (USD2,08bn +0,6%) mientras que los servicios de contribuciones contribuyeron con un 21.8% (USD1.26bn +0.5%). Otros servicios representaron el 1.8%.
    • Las fusiones y adquisiciones contribuyeron con USD65m con 36 transacciones - más que en 2019. Divididas en cinco regiones, las transacciones añaden capacidades estratégicas identificadas como parte de la planificación empresarial en mercados clave y se concluyeron con éxito a pesar de los desafíos del COVID-19
    • Durante el transcurso del año, el número de empleados creció un 3,9% hasta 58.229 personas, lo que subraya nuestra continua inversión y compromiso con nuestra gente en todo el mundo. Este año también se concedió el nombramiento de Judith Sprieser como Presidenta de la Junta de Gobernadores de GTIL.
    • Dos nuevas firmas se unieron a la red en Chile y Turcos y Caicos
